CBK Activities

• Collecting and processing high quality samples stemming from patients affected by some rare disease.

• Storage of the samples in optimum conditions, guaranteeing confidentiality of these and of all the associated data.

• Feedback of information to healthcare professionals or researchers who sent the sample and working on dissemination among the members of the CIBERER and other national and international research groups.

• Assignment of samples to national and international, public or private research groups who pass the evaluation made by the Scientific and Ethics Committees of the project for which they are asking for biological samples.

• Fostering and supporting new lines of action in RD: implementation of new techniques for therapeutic purposes and development of genetic epidemiology projectsa.
